Jo Coffey is an actor, comedian and writer.
She is currently filming the role of Wendy Whitwell in the return of Waterloo Road on BBC One. Jo’s other acting credits include The Witcher: Blood Origin (Netflix), Avoidance (BBC One), EastEnders (BBC One), The Bait (All4), Extraordinary (Discovery+) as well as Artemis Fowl and All Is True, both directed by Sir Kenneth Branagh.
Jo is also a comedian and was a finalist in the New Act of The Year competition. A regular performer in comedy clubs up and down the country, she has performed two solo shows, Not 25 and Curiously Caffeinated, at the Edinburgh Fringe. She has also appeared on Jokes Only A Disabled Person Can Tell (All4), and written for Alan Carr’s Epic Gameshow (ITV) and The News Quiz (BBC Radio 4). Her scripted project, Faked, was shortlisted for the Comedy 50:50/UKTV initiative.
Jo’s presenting credits include Big Brother’s Bit on the Side (Channel 5) and Big Brother’s Little Brother (Channel 4 & E4).
