ART news update – December 2019
Latest news & highlights for ART clients include:
- Edinburgh Fringe 2019 highlights included sell-out runs for Laura Lexx with her show Knee Jerk and Aaron Simmonds with his show Disabled Coconut. Laura won the Comedians’ Comedian Award for Best Performer for the second year in a row and Aaron was a finalist in the Amused Moose Comedy Award. Both were nominated for Best Comedy Show in the BroadwayWorld UK Awards and Richard Stott was 2nd in Dave’s Top Jokes of the Edinburgh Fringe.

- Lee Ridley (Lost Voice Guy) appeared on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions (ITV), Comedians Giving Lectures (Dave) and The One Show (BBC One). Lee also finished his multiple date UK tour, I’m Only In It For The Parking. His book of the same name is available to buy by clicking here.
- Adam Pearson’s latest documentary, Eugenics: Science’s Great Scandal, was broadcast on BBC Four. Adam also stars in the feature film, Chained For Life, which was released theatrically in the UK.
- Briony May Williams has joined the presenting team of Food Unwrapped (Channel 4). She’ll also be appearing on the Christmas Specials of The Great British Bake Off (Channel 4) and Beautiful Bakes With Juliet Sear (ITV).
- Samantha Renke appeared on Sunday Morning Live (BBC One), Good Morning Britain (ITV) and Jeremy Vine on 5 (Channel 5). She continues to be a regular guest on talkRADIO programmes and will appear alongside Gemma Oaten on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip (BBC Two).
- Aatif Nawaz co-stars in BBC Three’s Muzlamic which was broadcast on BBC One as well as being available on the BBC iPlayer – click here to watch it. Aatif also appeared on The Tez O’Clock Show (Channel 4).
- Jamie MacDonald made another appearance on Breaking The News (BBC Scotland). He also filmed a role in BBC Scotland pilot, The Scotts, which will be broadcast next year.
- Juliette Burton was a guest on Dave & Calm’s Conversations Against Living Miserably podcast. Click here to listen to it.
- Georgie Morrell has been commissioned to co-write a film script by the BFI.
- Following successful runs on the latest series of The Great British Bake Off (Channel 4), we are delighted to have signed Steph Blackwell and Michael Chakraverty. We have also signed disability rights campaigner and presenter, Will Pike.
